We're proud to announce that PHS is now a member of HPA UK, the Heat Pump Association. It's another step in our commitment to raising standards across the heat pump industry, so you can make the switch to clean heat with complete confidence.
Choosing a heat pump is a big decision. You want to know that the team designing and fitting it knows exactly what they're doing, and is keeping up with the latest standards and best practice. That's exactly why we've joined.
Who are HPA UK?
HPA UK (Heat Pump Association) is the independent trade association for the UK heat pump industry. It was formed in January 2026, when three organisations – the Heat Pump Association, the Ground Source Heat Pump Association and the Heat Pump Federation – joined forces to give the industry one clear voice.
Today it brings together more than 400 members, from manufacturers and installers to energy companies and training providers. Together, they work with the government to shape policy, develop technical standards and promote best practice, helping more homes and businesses benefit from heat pumps.
Why we've joined
At PHS, we're committed to high standards and doing things properly. Becoming members puts us at the heart of the conversations shaping how heat pumps are designed, installed and supported across the UK.
It keeps our team up to date with the latest standards, technical guidance and policy changes, from grants to building regulations, so the advice we give you is always accurate. And it means we're helping to move the whole industry forward.
“We’re proud to join the Heat Pump Association and to play our part in raising standards across the heat pump industry. Better standards mean better installations, and better installations build the trust heat pumps need to become the norm in UK homes.” – Martin Claridge, PHS Installations Director.
What it means for you
Peace of mind: you're working with a team connected to the latest industry standards and best practice.
Honest, up to date advice: on costs, grants and the right system for your home.

More people than ever are making the switch
Heat pumps are fast becoming the UK's go to choice for low-carbon heating. According to HPA UK, more than 125,000 were sold in the UK in 2025, and one in three of those sold here are now made in the UK.
They're efficient, they cut carbon, and they reduce our reliance on gas – which is good for your home, your bills and the planet.
