The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK government grant that helps homeowners cover the cost of a heat pump installation. The heat pump grant offers £7,500 towards an air source heat pump for homes on mains gas — rising to £9,000 for homes currently heated by oil or LPG (available from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027).
